Finding Foundation Workshop

Using the Four Postures of Mindfulness as a source for dance improvisation and TAMING THE DISCURSIVE BODY with Stillness, Slow Motion and Repetition to make solos on-the-spot. (This workshop focuses on developing techniques and insight for performer awareness of the present moment. The intention is to support a relaxed and whole-being presence in creating improvisational (solo) performance, dance or otherwise. We will be using ourselves as “self-portrait”.)

Yielding to deep play, we evoke our individual kinesthetic delight. This practice is intended to support a wholesome way of being an artist in the world while strengthening our inside compositional eye and is complementary to many styles of performance training.
